What is a cultural symbolic landscape?
All the built forms that cultural groups create in inhabiting the Earth, such as: roads, agricultural fields, cities, houses, parks, gardens, and commercial buildings. A symbolic landscape does not have to be grand or powerful because even the most mundane landscape element can be interpretted as symbolic and ideological. a grand symbolic landscape would be the urban skyline. An example of a mundane symbolic landscape would be the typical, middle-class, American home.
What are the three principal aspects of landscape?
The three principal aspects of landscape are settlement forms, land-division patterns, and architectural styles. Settlement forms are geographical studies about the construction of spatial arrangements by people inhabbiting different areas. Land-division patterns are the study of how land is divided up by people for different reasons such as social, economic, and political. Architectural styles are the different types of art used to build buildings made for different purposes.

Chinese culture is shown as being simplistic and clean cut in their architecture. Their religion is also represented through things such as usually having ponds and statues throughout the yards that represent their beliefs.
